Justin Timberlake has shared the first photo of his newborn son via Instagram.

The 34-year-old Suit & Tie singer welcomed baby Silas with his wife Jessica Biel earlier this month.

And Justin shared a sweet snap of Jessica holding their infant in her arms on Sunday.

“The Timberlakes are ready!!! GO GRIZZ! #GritNGrind #Playoffs #BabyGrizzROAR (sic),” he captioned the photo.

Baby Silas is seen sporting a pint-sized Memphis Grizzlies jersey in the snap. The Grizzlies are a professional basketball team and in his caption, Justin seems to be referring to a NBA playoff game the sports club competed in on Sunday.

The Grizzlies battled against the Portland Trail Blazers on April 19 in the first outing of their seven-game tournament.

Jessica and Justin are said to be elated with their newfound parenthood.

"Jessica sees herself as a mom of boys, so it worked out perfectly," a source told Us Weekly magazine recently. "Justin is so excited, he doesn't know what to do with himself!"

Jessica’s new movie Bleeding Heart premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City last Thursday, but she was unable to attend the screening because the star chose to stay at home to care for her and Justin’s newborn.

Jessica has kept largely out of the limelight while expecting, although Justin has been public with his support for her.

Late last month the star paid tribute to his wife when he was handed the Innovation Award at the iHeartRadio ceremony.

"You can't have innovation without creations, so finally I want to thank my best friend, my favourite collaborator, my wife Jessica at home who's watching," he told the audience. "Honey, I can't wait to see our greatest creation yet. Don't worry, Daddy's headed home right now to innovate by learning how to change a poopy diaper and get my swaddle on."
