Acid-tongued comedienne Joan Rivers has done it again - this time, it's Lena Dunham wearing the bullseye.
While appearing on the Howard Stern radio show yesterday, the Fashion Police host said Girls star Lena is setting a poor body image for women.
"You're sending a message out to people saying it's OK, stay fat, get diabetes, everybody die. Lose your fingers," she claimed on the programme.
Stern surprisingly defended Dunham, saying: “But why not? Men have been doing that for years. Well, I think the thing we love about her is that she doesn’t give a sh*t … She did a whole (Girls) episode in a bikini. It was the funniest f**king thing I ever saw.”
The 80-year-old hit back saying that she encourages women to have a positive body image, however she doesn't agree with Dunham's role model status.
“If you look the way you look, Lena, and that’s fine and you’re funny, don’t say it’s OK that other girls can look like this ... Try to look better," she added.
