Ivanka Trump opts for polka dots as she joins First Lady Melania at Governors' Ball
First Daughter Ivanka Trump joined First Lady Melania at the Governors' Ball on Sunday.
Both of the President's closest confidantes were present at the Governors' Ball on Sunday night for the White House's first big event of the year.
Melania played hostess for the first time at the White House, while some Donald's fiercest critics gathered in Hollywood for the 89th Academy Awards.
In a statement, the Slovenian native said that the theme for the ball was "spring's renewal."
"Tonight, we come together as one Nation, leaving political labels and partisan interests behind."
The First Lady appeared to be wearing a black sleeveless number, while Ivanka wore a navy gown with polka dot detail.
The mother-of-three was joined by her husband and senior advisor to the President, Jared Kushner, at the event.
Taking to Instagram, she said: "Just arrived home after an amazing night at The White House with @realdonaldtrump, @Flotus and 46 governors from across the nation."
The Trumps were joined by 46 state governors as Donald celebrated his first month of presidency.
"I can say that after four weeks, it’s been a lot of fun accomplished but we’ve accomplished almost everything we’ve started out to accomplish — the borders are stricter, tighter."
