Ivanka Trump and her young family take their first trip on Air Force One to meet POTUS in Florida
Ivanka Trump and her young family took their first trip on Air Force One as they travelled to the President's Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach.
They joined First Lady Melania Trump and Donald Trump on the plane, and welcomed Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and his wife, Akie, as they jetted off for a weekend away at the holiday home.
Ivanka Trump was wearing her fashion line, as reports emerged that the brand has faced struggles.
Her father has caused controversy by using his Twitter account to support the brand and lash out at Nordstrom.
The president slammed the store on Twitter, describing his daughter as a "great person" who was "always pushing me to do the right thing" and did not deserve to see her business suffer.
Ms Trump's fashion line includes clothing, jewellery, handbags and other products. Nordstrom's decision to drop the line came amid the "#GrabYourWallet" boycott of Trump-branded products.
Nordstrom has denied the move was motivated by anything other than poor sales.
“We've said all along we make buying decisions based on performance," the company said last week in a statement. "We've got thousands of brands, more than 2,000 offered on the site alone. Reviewing their merit and making edits is part of the regular rhythm of our business."
But the announcement came just three days after the company issued an internal memo in support of any employees affected by Mr Trump's executive order on refugees and immigration, leading to speculation that Nordstrom could have been influenced by opposition to Mr Trump's policies.
