RTE stalwart Marty Whelan says that he has been propositioned many times over the years, but it's inevitable in a "long career."
After three decades in the spotlight, Marty has penned a tell-all book entitled That's Life and has been more honest than ever ahead of its publication.
The Winning Streak host has been happily married to his wife Maria for more than 30 years and the couple have two children together, Thomas and Jessica.
And the veteran broadcaster has candidly opened up about the secrets to a happy marriage and being approached by other women.
"Well, there were moments back in the 2FM days. Quite often you'll be at an event and somebody will sidle up," he said.
"There is always going to be bits of that from time to time in a long career. But it's not like every weekend I'm up to my neck in knickers. It's not."
He gushed about his long-term love Maria, whom he met when they were both teenagers, and said he would devastated without her in his life.
"The concept of her not being with me would be devastating," he added.
"I'd be absolutely heartbroken. We met when we were teenagers. Note very day is brilliant because it can't be. Of course there are days where you go, 'Right, I'd like to be on my own, thanks'. That's life."
But he added that the secret to a long-lasting union is communication, adding that they are "best friends" who speak every day.
"The secret is, the one thing I always believe in is chat. If you don't talk, you can forget it. You've got to be friends. It's very important to keep talking because then you don't keep things bottled up."
