Irish singer Morgan Deane to divorce from South African cricket star Graeme Smith
Irish singer Morgan Deane has confirmed she is set to divorce her South African cricket star husband Graeme Smith.
Morgan, who was a backing singer for Jedward's 2011 Eurovision performance, married Smith in a lavish wedding after a whirlwind romance.
The pair met in January 2011, when Morgan was holidaying in South Africa and he proposed during a visit to Ireland three months later.
Deane, originally from Cork, also featured alongside Donal Skehan and Michele McGrath in their now defunct band Industry, before moving to Cape Town, where she's lived for four years.
They have two children together, Cadence Christine Smith (three) and Carter McMorrin Smith (18 months).
Graeme (34) is a South African hero, playing 117 tests for the country before his retirement last year.
Their attorney David Becker released a statement confirming the split and asked for privacy.

"I confirm that Graeme and Morgan are unfortunately divorcing," he said. "This is obviously a private matter and the couple would ask that their privacy is respected during this time, both for the sake of themselves and their children."
G had NO marriage problems in March. I was the 1 who tried to convince him NOT to retire. No one knew it was coming.... Leave me out of this.— Morgan (@MorganDeane) February 24, 2015
