Irish model on Turkish singer husband's shock MS diagnosis: 'I'm by his side every step of the way'
Irish model Chloe Loughnan (21) has thanked fans for their support while her husband battles Multiple Sclerosis.
The Youghal native, who wed 44-year-old Serdar Ortac just two weeks ago, are united in his battle of the disease, which affects the central nervous system.
Ortac has posted several photos on his Twitter page from his hospital bed as doctors work around the clock to determine the best route of care for him.
And Chloe tweeted this morning her unflinching support for her love, who she has been with for two years.
"Thank you for your support and prayers my husband is a strong man he's going to get through this and I'm by his side every step of the way."
Ortac has shared a video from his hospital bed as he speaks about his illness.
"I do not understand, I just got married," he said.
And he spoke fondly of his beautiful wife, from Youghal, Co Cork.
"Find the love of your life and get married right away,” he said, rather than “waiting 44 years like me”.
She spoke about her marriage to the singer just last week, saying: ‘Life is perfect’.
Chloe explained that she wasn't looking for love when she made the move to Istanbul and her romance with the then 42-year-old pop sensation, described as the 'Turkish Michael Jackson' took her by surprise.
"In the beginning, I came here for work and I wasn't looking for any kind of relationship. When I first met him (Serdar), he was very similar to me, even though there were cultural differences.
"We really clicked and got along from the beginning, and we started on this amazing journey. It blossomed from there."
