Inside Kris Jenner's $2m Great Gatsby themed 60th birthday bash
Kris Jenner does nothing by halves.
Proving that the Kardashians are incapable of throwing a party that doesn't amount to millions, Kris rang in her 60th birthday in serious style.
Daughters Khloe, Kim, Kendall and Kim all opted for full length glittering crystal gowns for the exclusive party at a venue in West Hollywood, while eldest Kourtney stuck to her own individual style and wore an androgynous tuxedo.
They all recreated a modern day version of a 1985 home video Kris made - first featuring the original with O.J. Simpson and ex-husband Rob Kardashian, while the new one saw her daughters perform You Love Your Friends.
"It was very funny and campy and had funny lyrics about how much Kris loves her friends," an insider told Us Weekly.“The girls would sing the verses and in between each verse it would cut to a video of someone from one of Kris’s favorite places or people singing, ‘You love your friends.’”
All of her children reportedly split the $2m bill between them.
The no expense spared bash included oversized floral chandeliers and a foot tall chocolate cake.
A-list guests on the night included Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, Naomi Campbell, Ryan Seacrest while her son-in-law Kanye West performed, as did David Foster.
Her ex Caitlyn Jenner, whom she was married to for 22 years when she was known as Bruce, also paid tribute to the woman of the hour by recording a clip in a bathtub to wish her well.
Kim credited her mother on stage as the driving force behind the family's success, saying they may well win an Emmy one day (at least if Kanye has his way).
“Mom, I’m going to give this Emmy to you because you were the one who started it all,” she said.
"The show was your idea... we may not have an Emmy now but we will someday.”
