George Clooney is proving doubters wrong with his lasting marriage.
The 54-year-old heartthrob tied the knot with wife Amal in a lavish ceremony in Venice last September and the couple are currently enjoying the honeymoon period of wedded life.
And last night George discussed how he's feeling almost a year on since saying 'I do' to the stunning human rights lawyer.
"They said it wouldn't last," he grinned to talkshow host Stephen Colbert, who commented on his arm-candy status. "Shiny and pretty – that's mostly what I do now."
Stephen also presented his guest with a belated wedding present as he wasn't invited to celebrate the nuptials with George and Amal. Upon opening a Tiffany's box, the actor found an engraved paper weight inside with the words 'I don't know you' carved into it.
"That's just to remind you that we don't know each other," Stephen added.
As George doesn't have any film projects to promote at the moment, the duo decided to have some fun and shoot clips for a fake movie together. Titled Decision Strike, the handsome star takes on the role of a ""tough, no-nonsense secretary general of the UN".
In one humorous scene, George leaves a room after romancing a mystery woman. Taking the fun in his stride, he insisted what went on behind closed doors was real.
"Sex sells Stephen," George said. "I did my own sex. I did all of my own stunts."
George has done nothing but gush about Amal since she became his wife. It's clear the former bachelor is smitten and he even revealed they may be settling in the brunette beauty's home country.
"I couldn't be happier. We're having a really fun time. We’re working on fixing up a house in England that we’ll be spending a lot of time in just outside of London," he previously told Good Morning America.
