She will walk down the aisle next weekend but top model Sarah Morrissey is in no hurry to slow down when it comes to work.
The in-demand catwalk queen is making the most of the summer campaign launches and enjoyed a string of shoots for top brands this week.
With just days until her big day in sunny Italy, the slender blonde is already in tip-top shape and is looking forward to a break with her loved ones in the Mediterranean country.
And the Dubliner has no intention of following in the footsteps of fellow model Rosanna Davison, who is treating guests to a three-part wedding celebration.
The former Miss Ireland and her other half, footballer Pat Jennings, will get hitched with a “laid-back” bash in Tuscany next week.
Due to their large families they have had to keep the numbers to a minimum and are having only 120 guests on their big day.
Model pals Nadia Forde, Karen Fitzpatrick and fellow fashion model Yomiko, are among those on the guest list for the nuptials.
“Sarah spends so much of her time in fancy outfits and at glamorous events for work so she is just looking forward to a quiet day with her nearest and dearest,” said a friend of the model.
“Herself and Pat are both really laid-back people and they aren’t big into the limelight so they are just looking forward to relaxing with family and having nice food and wine.”
Sarah and her husband-to-be will spend a few days in picturesque Tuscany following the traditional ceremony and despite her super-trim figure Sarah has been getting herself wedding ready with plenty of work-outs and snacking on juices to give her skin and hair a boost.
A fitness fanatic, Sarah has been attending beech bootcamp classes and regularly hitting the gym.
One of Ireland’s best known fashion models, the 30-year-old has had plenty of practice in a wedding gown for shoots, but friends said she had her heart set on a simple and classic style for the summer affair.
“The main thing will be about comfort for me and making sure that everyone is relaxed,” Sarah told
“We’re going to get married in a traditional church, but I want a gathering with friends and family where everybody is toasting our love but in a party atmosphere. And obviously, another reason for Tuscany is that we’ll have the weather too,” she added.
The model from inner-city Dublin has kept her cool in the run-up to her big day and is not a stressed-out Bridezilla.
“I’m not a Bridezilla anyway,” she said.
“My sister keeps calling me a Bridechilla because I’m so chilled about everything. It’s all really very relaxed.”
Sarah first met other-half Pat at a restaurant in Derry and the footballer went down on one knee in December 2012.
It will be a small bridal party for the couple with Sarah’s twin sister Louise her only bridesmaid, and the model was treated to a pampering session for her hen do in the Seafield golf and spa resort
