Her talented daughter Missy has been making a big name for herself in the acting world, despite being only 15.

But proud mum Yvonne Connolly has said that she’s no “showbiz mom” when it comes to her talented daughter.

“I haven’t got the time,” she said.

“It’s something that she’s very passionate about and I’ve always accommodated her and I always will, as long as she wants to do it.”

However, Yvonne said that Missy’s love of acting has had to take a back-seat this year as she’s facing into her Junior Certexams.

“Once that’s done, she cannot wait to get back into the process of auditioning and all that so she’s dying to get back into it,” she said.

“It’s transition year next year so she hopes to be busy next year.”

It was thanks to her daughter Missy that Yvonne met her long-term boyfriend John Conroy.

The Laois native, whom she has been dating for three years, was working as a cameraman on a movie that the talented youngster was starring in, called Dark Touch.

The former model’s own career has gone from strength to strength in recent times as she stepped into the spotlight after years of concentrating on rearing her three children – Jack (16), Missy (15) and Ali (10) – with ex Ronan Keating.

She said that she “loves” guest presenting TV3’s 7 O’Clock Show amid reports that she may become a more permanent fixture on the show.

Asked about her future with the station, she replied: “You’d have to ask them that. But I really enjoy it. It’s great, great fun.

“I love it. I suppose I’m just learning as I go. I’m doing some cooking and they’ve been kind enough to let me present sometimes, so it’s good fun.”

The finalist of Celebrity MasterChef has become one of their regular chefs and recently started filling in on Fridays as one of the guest presenters.

She has been going down well with Irish viewers as she eyes up her next big project.

She’s now looking forward to getting away for a short break this Easter as she spends some quality time with her young family.
