"I'm deeply in love," Scarlett Johansson on journalist fiancé Romain Dauriac
29-year-old actress became engaged to the French journalist in August, two years after her divorce from Ryan Reynolds.
MailOnline reports the Her star wore her heart on her sleeve during an interview with America's People magazine hitting shelves next month.
Despite admitting she's "deeply in love", Scarlett says she's not rushing down the aisle.
"Being engaged is an exciting time," she said, explaining that she doesn't want to "rush through it".
"I've never been much of a traditional girl, but I do think it's a nice period. There's something old-world nostalgic about it," she said.
Scarlett described Romain as her "buddy" and said she's thrilled about the idea of sharing her life with him.
"I'm very happy. He's someone I can always rely on," she swooned.
The actress' engagement came somewhat as a surprise.
She had admitted not long before she wasn't even considering exchanging vows again.
"It's not important to me. It has no relevance to me right now. I'm not having kids any time soon, I'm in a nice relationship," she told Elle UK.
"I got married when I was young and it was incredibly romantic and I liked being married, actually. But it is different. It's hard to put into words. To me, being in a functioning relationship doesn't mean you have to be married," she said.
