'I'll never do a red carpet again... People are starving' - Miley Cyrus
Miley Cyrus has said that she will never step foot on the red carpet again.
In an interview with ELLE magazine, of which Cyrus is the October cover star, the 23-year-old said she will not do a red carpet event “when people are starving.”
“I will never do a red carpet again. Why, when people are starving, am I on a carpet that's red? Because I'm 'important'? Because I'm 'famous'? That's not how I roll. It's like a skit—it's like Zoolander,” she said.
The actress and singer shows her softer side and wears minimal makeup and a lace white dress for the shoot, which is a far cry from her usual style.
The star also spoke about her fiancé, actor Liam Hemsworth, who she has had an on-off relationship with since starring alongside each other in The Last Song.
Like millions of people all over the world, Hemsworth is a fan of Pokémon Go, although Cyrus has no interest in the augmented reality game.
“I'm not on Pokémon Go. [This morning] Liam woke up and tried to go to the car wash because it was a — what do you call it?—PokéSpot. Like, "Got to go find them and catch them all! Ahh!”
Despite being one of the most followed celebrities in the world, with 51.7 million followers on Instagram, Cyrus said she doesn't have Snapchat because she fears she'll be "too held back."
"No. I want to be. I don't know how to use it. I feel like I'll be an old lady that's too held back, because I don't keep up with it," she said.
ELLE US will go on sale on September 20.
