‘Friends’ star Jennifer Aniston (45) has hit out at continuing pregnancy speculation.
Speaking on Carson Daly’s show in the US, Aniston stated she doesn’t believe it’s fair to put that type of pressure on any woman.
Daly had brought up a past interview in which Aniston stated: “Being a woman, your value and worth is associated with your marital status or whether or not you’ve procreated.”
Answering Daly, the actress expanded a little further on her belief.
“I don’t have this sort of checklist of things that have to be done.
“And if they’re not checked then I’ve failed some part of my feminism or my being as a woman, or my worth and my value as a woman because I haven’t birthed a child”
The 45-year-old said she’s worth a lot of things. She feels like she’s ‘mothered’ many things and doesn’t think it’s fair to put that pressure on people.
The star, who is engaged to fellow actor Justin Theroux (42), has said in the past she is more than happy with her life.
The ‘Horrible Bosses’ star married actor Brad Pitt in 2000 – but the pair divorced in 2005.
Pitt went on to have a relationship his ‘Mr & Mrs Smith’ co-star Angelina Jolie shortly afterwards. The couple are now parents to six children.
In 2012, it was announced that Aniston was engaged to Theroux – and speculation about when the couple are set to tie the knot has been feverish.
