TV star Lucy Kennedy has spoken candidly about her struggle with body confidence.
The TV3 presenter, who hosts the Seven O'Clock Show with Martin King, is one of the bubbliest presenters on our screens, but the mother-of-two opened up about her journey to self acceptance.
"A few years ago, prior to Jack and Holly, I was thinking of getting a nose job after I saw a really unattractive side profile of myself, and I thought I looked like a mixture of Dustin and Mr Punch," she told the new issue of Irish Tatler.
"I don’t feel I can rely on my looks so maybe the funnier girls and the more ballsy girls are the girls who aren’t perfect?
"I know I have a tummy but I’ll still eat the Chinese takeaway, do I care? No, you’ve just got to embrace it."
Kennedy, who moved from regular roles with the state broadcaster to a career at Ballymount in 2013, said it's her "ballsy" nature which has ensured career success over the years.
"I think it’s funny I’m allowed be on telly, because let’s remember, I have no qualification, I am qualified in banter and that’s it. I’ve always kind of thought I’m going to be found out, why do people want to watch me? I think I’m funny, the people around me? Not so much," she added.
