Holly Carpenter on self-esteem: 'I'm paranoid people don't think I'm as good-looking in person'
She might be one of the country's most beautiful models, but Holly Carpenter says she still suffers from self-esteem issues.
The former Miss Ireland says she can feel self-conscious on her days off as she's so perfectly styled on photoshoots.
"My job can make you feel good about yourself when there are pictures of you looking great," she said.
"But when I'm just going around being myself I feel paranoid that if I meet someone they are going to think, 'oh, she isn't as good-looking in person'."
The 23-year-old is known for her social media presence and says that the key to her popularity is being honest.
"If I'm hungover, I'll say I'm hungover. I think it's good for young girls to have someone relatable," Holly said.
"I look at models from all over the world and their pictures are always perfect, but I think it's actually okay to come across as normal."
Holly, who previously dated rugby player Cian Healy, recently told VIP she wouldn't say no to dating another sports star.
