After his birthday celebrations last week, his father is attempting to take a more measured approach, and admitted his son had received “too many” presents.

Speaking at the America’s Cup headquarters in Portsmouth, Prince William declined to share details of the gifts his son had received.

“What did he get for his birthday? I am not telling,” he told competition winner Zak Kay (10).

“He got too many things, he’s far too spoilt.”

Over the past three years, George has received no shortage of outlandish gifts.

Last week, the family celebrated in private at their Anmer Hall home.

On the day, Kensington Palace released new images of the birthday boy playing on a wooden garden swing and sharing an ice-cream with his dog Lupo.
