Good Morning Britain presenter Charlotte Hawkins admitted "it's nice to be back" as the new mother returned to the show.
The presenter, 40, had a baby girl, Ella-Rose, in February.
Hawkins was all smiles as she presented the ITV breakfast show, with fellow hosts Susanna Reid and Ben Shephard.
Reid introduced Charlotte, who was replaced by Kate Garraway while on maternity leave, saying: "Look who's back!"
Hawkins, wearing a floral dress, replied: "It's so lovely to be back. I can't believe it's been four months. It just feels like it has flown past."
Showing she has been a loyal viewer during her time away, she said: "I've been at home watching with the baby every morning."
She added: "She probably won't even be up yet otherwise I'd say 'hello'."
As a video clip of Ella-Rose was shown to viewers, Hawkins said: "Her laugh is my favourite noise... She's trying to say hello, she's nearly there."
Reid suggested that she bring Ella-Rose into the show when she presents, but Hawkins replied: "If you heard this strange chattering coming under the desk you might wonder what was going on!"
She told viewers: "I hope I remember how everything works and where everything is."
The presenter made a brief appearance on the show in April, to introduce her baby daughter.
And she said that the early starts on the ITV programme had not prepared her for the sleeplessness that comes with having a baby.
"I thought that because of the job that we do - getting up in the middle of the night, not getting that much sleep - I thought I would be quite used to that but it turns out no," she said at the time.
But she added: "It's sleeplessness on a whole new level."
