The author and blogger is married to McFly's Tom Fletcher and has two children - Buzz, two, and Buddy Bob, who is just a few weeks old.

She has also just been named icelolly.com Celebrity Mum of the Year, beating Adele, Coleen Rooney and Sam Faiers to the prize.

But the mother of two is not sure that winning the publicly voted award will help her overcome self-doubt.

Fletcher explained: "I don't think that's going to help me at three o'clock in the morning when I'm having a meltdown.

"I think it's perfectly natural that every mum and dad go through periods where they question every single thing that they're doing.

"The guilt that comes with it, I don't think anyone can prepare you for."

On Tuesday, Fletcher received a huge response from other mothers after posting a photo of her post-baby belly on Instagram.

She wrote: "A few days ago I had a near stranger point at my stomach, laugh and say 'Oh look, Mummy's still got her tummy'.

"This was eleven days after giving birth. I was so shocked I laughed. But the words have stuck with me ... Yes, I still have a bump. But that bump kept my little baby boy safe for a whole nine months. That bump has filled my world with even more love and light than I knew possible."

Speaking to the Press Association, she said: "It's about going: 'Actually my body's done an amazing thing' - and I agree, and we should embrace all the flaws that our bodies have - whether it's post-baby or post-anything, our bodies tell the story of our lives and they should be celebrated ...

"I don't like showing flaws, but I think it's important to show flaws because I think it makes everything a bit more real.

"We're shown Photoshopped, polished people all the time and I know how that affects me and I don't think it's always healthy or beneficial to new mums and dads to see that all the time.

"It makes you feel like there's something you should be, a way you should act, a size you should be ... Comparing yourself is the worst thing to do as a mum. You've got to stick in your own groove and just keep going."

Fletcher has also followed a post-baby trend made famous by celebrities including Kim and Kourtney Kardashian, Rooney and January Jones - as she is eating her placenta.

She said: "It's not as bad as it sounds. We had the placenta freeze-dried and it was capsules. I've been taking those.

"We heard it helps with baby blues, milk productions and things like that. So I thought let's give it a go. And I'm awake, I feel much better than I did last time."

Previous winners of the award, now in its 15th year, include Emma Bunton, Katie Price, Holly Willoughby, Kym Marsh and Kerry Katona.

The Fletchers are known for their creative posts on social media.

The showbiz couple announced the news that they were expecting the birth of their first child through a video of them carving pumpkins with the words: "We're having a baby".

Fletcher's second pregnancy was revealed when they released a video of them playing a video game with Buzz, with the words "Player Two loading".
