Ghostbusters star Leslie Jones says no designers wanted to dress her for the red carpet premiere
Leslie Jones, one of the four stars of the hotly-anticipated Ghostbusters reboot, said that she couldn’t find a designer to dress her for the film’s red carpet premiere.
While Jones has had a banner year with a successful season on the hit sketch show Saturday Night Live and a lead role in one of the biggest films of the year, she said no designer had stepped up to dress her.
“It’s so funny how there are no designers wanting to help me with a premiere dress for movie. Hmmm that will change and I remember everything,” she tweeted.
That prompted a wave emoji-filled reply from Christian Siriano, the Project Runway winner who has helped stars including Lady Gaga, Christina Hendricks and Uzo Aduba get red carpet-ready.
Jones took to Twitter again to write: “Hmm what a difference a tweet makes. Should I name the designers that didn’t look out? Put y’all a** on blast. You will not get my love later.”
Ghostbusters will be released in cinemas on July 15.
