Getting used to the limelight already - Simon Cowell posts another adorable baby snap
Eric Cowell is already getting used to life in the limlight - as his proud dad Simon can't resist posting more snaps of him.
He has been doting on his baby boy Eric since his birth on Valentine’s Day and has released another adorable baby snap.
‘‘The last three days have been incredible,’’ he tweeted, before posting a cute photograph of his sleeping son, nestled warmly between cuddly toys.
He captioned the cute picture, ‘‘Eric's new friends’’ as his son lay wrapped in a blanket between a knitted elephant and a cuddly dog.
The music mogul admitted he was bursting with pride when he posted the first pictures of his son, named after his father, on Twitter.
Unlike the previous elegant black and white images, this adorable insight into the world of Cowell is bursting with colour.
Not forgetting the rest of his family, he said that his girlfriend Lauren Silverman and dogs Sqiddly and Diddly were also over the moon with the new arrival.
‘‘Eric Lauren sqiddly and diddly all happy,’’ he tweeted.
The set of black and white shots unveiled the first glimpse of baby Cowell.
They showed the millionaire cradling the little boy and patting Eric’s head as his mother Silverman caressed the child with the back of her hand.
The 54-year-old wrote with the snaps, "Mum, Dad and Eric. Now two days old. I never knew how much love and pride I would feel. . . now you can see how very handsome little Eric is."
The baby was born in New York on Valentine's Day at 5.45pm, weighing 6lb 7oz.
Shortly after his birth, Cowell gave away the infant's name on Twitter saying, ‘‘Very happy to say Eric was born at 17.45pm. Healthy and handsome.’’
His arrival forced the X Factor supremo to ditch auditions for Britain's Got Talent so he could fly to the States to be there for the birth.
The first person Simon called was his mother Julie Brett (87), who was said to be deeply touched that he had called his dad a mentor.
Simon's father died of a heart attack aged 81 in 1991, just as Cowell was celebrating the first number one single with Westlife.
