She is used to living the high life and attending A-list functions Stateside, but glamorous Claudine Keane has made sure that she is home in time for one of the Irish showbiz events of the year — Rosanna Davison’s next wedding celebration.
The Dublin model and her soccer star husband Robbie Keane are among the lucky guests who will turn out for the third-part of the former Miss World’s extravagant wedding celebrations, at the exclusive Powerscourt Hotel at the end of the month.
Rosanna and Claudine have been pals since their college days. The LA-based model is looking forward to catching up with old friends at the party for Rosanna and husband Wes Quirke’s wide circle of family and friends. The pair officially tied the knot at a civil ceremony in Dublin’s Merrion Hotel in May.
Claudine and Robbie were invited to the couple’s official wedding reception, which took place in sunny Ibiza on Sunday, but were unable to make it and Claudine said she is more excited about the Irish bash.
“I wasn’t back from America on time and Robert didn’t finish play-school until the end of last week so I couldn’t make the Ibiza one,” Claudine told the Herald.
“But I am looking forward to the Irish one and a catch-up. It will be like a UCD reunion.”
No official photographs have emerged of bride Rosanna from her nuptials last weekend after the couple signed a lucrative magazine deal, and Claudine was staying tight-lipped about whether she caught a glimpse of the bride’s stunning gown.
Malahide-native Claudine is back home for several weeks with son Robert (5) and will be joined by hubby Robbie once he finishes playing with the Irish football squad in the US.
Claudine said she is still mulling over outfit choices.
“I am not sure whether to go for a short or long dress with the occasion that is in it — First World problems,” she joked.
Claudine wowed in a silver-and-white gown from Cari’s Closet at an event in Dublin last night, where she brought mum Joan as her date.
She said that Robert junior will start school in the States later this year.
She also said that the couple are looking forward to having more children in the future, but added: “when the time is right.”
