First Vogue, now Vanity Fair: Kim Kardashian 'snubbed' by exclusive Oscars party
Kim Kardashian was allegedly snubbed by the Vanity Fair Oscar party organisers.
The reality star and fiancée of Kanye West attended Elton John‘s annual Aids Foundation Oscar party but according to reports, it wasn’t her first choice.
Sources close to the star have revealed that Kim had “desperately wanted to attend” the Vanity Fair party, but didn’t receive an invitation.
“Kim had been hoping to get an invite to the Vanity Fair party,” the insider confided to Radar Online.
“It’s the hottest party during the entire awards season and Kim desperately wanted to go. Kim’s camp had made inquiries to the Vanity Fair party host Graydon Carter about whether she’d make the list. He never got back to her people! It wasn’t ever going to ever happen.”
Vanity Fair party guests included Kate Hudson, Bruce Willis, Reese Witherspoon, Portia de Rossi and her wife, the Oscars host, Ellen DeGeneres.
But it seems that despite being engaged to one of the music industry’s most prolific rappers, it still wasn’t enough kudos to gain Kim entry.
“Everyone knows Vanity Fair is strictly A-list only, which means, no reality stars,” the source continued. “It would have been a circus if Kim along with her mom and sisters went to the party. Graydon would have gotten nothing but grief from actors that didn’t get an invite!”
It isn’t the first time Kim has been ‘snubbed’ by a high profile magazine.
It was recently reported that the 33-year-old had got her fiancé to talk Vogue boss Anna Wintour, in the hopes of appearing on the fashion bible’s cover.
“To Kanye, it’s insulting that his friend Anna is still refusing to even consider putting Kim on the cover of Vogue,” Another source told the website at the time. “He’s upset that Anna isn’t willing to do him this personal favour and put Kim on the cover.”
