It has been reported that there are widespread fears of a 'epidemic' in the porn industry following Charlie Sheen's revelations of his HIV-positive status.

The Daily Beast reports that Sheen's shock admission has sent "a ripple of fear" through the porn industry due to the actor's well-publicised dalliances with porn stars.

Speaking to the Daily Beast, porn star Alana Evans said "there is so much fear right now amongst the girls".

She explained that scared stars are trying to figure out any possible links to the star.

"(it's) like who have I had sex with that has had sex with them, or have I had sex with a girl who has had sex with Charlie?"

She said that many of the porn stars would like "Charlie Sheen to put together a list of all the girls he’s had sex with so the rest of us can make sure we’re okay".

They report that there are "no records" of who Sheen has hired, which would hinder the usual HIV-scare protocol in the industry, which sees production shut down until quarantine and "who's performed with who" lists are drawn up, lines are traced and stars are tested.

Sheen revealed on the Today Show that he was HIV positive and has known about his condition for four years. He admitted to having unprotected sex since his status became known to him.

He told the hosts that he was going public with his diagnosis as a result of numerous blackmail attempts, some of which had already cost him up to ten million dollars.

An anonymous 27 year old previously spoke to the Daily Mail and claimed that Sheen had bedded "at least" fifty porn stars in the last four years and described "fears the porn industry could face a HIV epidemic as a result".
