Top Irish model Nadia Forde has some high profile support as she transitions from the catwalk to the recording studio.
The 25-year-old former beauty queen is currently trying her hand at a recording career in the UK.
After wowing record bosses and showing fans a new side to her when she sang the national anthem in front of two sold-out audiences during Ireland games against Sweden and Germany.
And FAI boss John Delaney has also taken the singer under his wing.
"I think I'm more like a father figure. I'm 46 years of age, she is in her early 20s," he told the Irish Sun in an exclusive interview today.
"She is somebody I have a lot of respect for. She's got a great career as a model. It looks like she is heading for a pretty good career in terms of her singing.
"I wish her well in that for sure. We're great friends."
Their friendship blossomed last year when they both took part in a Strictly Come Dancing for Soccer fundraiser.
