It's official. Nadia Forde has gone from a passing interest in men with small, white balls to loving men with big, oval-shaped balls.
The top Irish model and singer/reality TV star, who was romantically linked with golfer Rory McIlroy, is dating strapping Welsh rugby player Dominic Day.
Nadia and Dom, as she calls him, spent last Thursday and Friday night together at the plush Me hotel on the Strand in London.
They have been seeing each other for more than two months.
Nadia was introduced to Dominic by ex-Irish international and fellow Bath player Peter Stringer and his fiancee Debbie O'Leary after a game in London in March. Nadia and Debbie are close friends. (Nadia was at Debbie's recent hen weekend in London ahead of her impending wedding to Peter; while Debbie jetted to Australia to support Nadia during her gruelling jungle stint on ITV's I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here late last year.)
"Nadia hasn't told a soul other than her very close circle of friends," one of those very close friends told me. (I have my ways of making them talk, don't you know?)
"Nadia is being very guarded on this. She is being extremely cautious about Dominic. It is early days. They haven't been seen anywhere. In fact, they have gone out of their way not to seen out together in public."
Another one of Nad's tight inner circle added: "She is happy. She is seeing how it goes."
Nadia, who is currently in rehearsals in London for the musical, The West End Men, alongside X Factor's Marcus Collins, which comes to the Bord Gais Energy Theatre in Dublin on June 7, watched her beau play at lock for Bath in their thrilling 27-26 win over Harlequins at Twickenham on Friday night.
Afterwards, the two love-birds (Nadia in a slinky black dress) went out for dinner at the hip Burger & Lobster restaurant on Dean Street in Soho.
They were joined by their pals Debbie O'Leary and Peter Stringer, who also played in the game against Harlequins.
After dinner, Nadia and Mr Day returned to the 5-star Me hotel. The two fine specimens of youth (she a recent number 30 in FHM magazine's Sexiest Women in the World poll, he having played for Wales at both under-19 and under-21 levels) walked out in the London sunshine holding hands yesterday morning.
Nadia flew home to Dublin yesterday lunchtime while Dom travelled back to Wales. How long will it before she and Dom will be naming the Day?
