EXCLUSIVE: Mammy's boy Johnny McDaid and fiancee Courteney Cox meet mother's pals in Derry
It looks like Snow Patrol rocker Johnny McDaid really is a mammy's boy at heart.
He and fiancée Courteney Cox jetted into Ireland last week to introduce the former Friends actress to his family in Derry.
And in typical Irish mammy fashion, Pauline McDaid ensured she showed off her son and future daughter-in-law to all of her pals.
The trio made a trip to Bradley's Pharmacy in Culmore, Co Derry, where Pauline is a regular.
"Pauline is a regular customer at Bradley's and she was so proud of Courteney and Johnny, she wanted to show them off to everyone," an insider told Independent.ie.
"She's so happy to have them home that she's been introducing them to everyone. You would never know they're celebrities. Both of them are very down-to-earth."
Courteney and Johnny were also joined by her 10-year-old daughter with ex-husband David Arquette, Coco.
"She loved the city also and was spending quality time with Johnny's two sisters. They were all so happy," an insider told Us Weekly of Coco's thoughts on the trip.
They were also spotted ring shopping at jeweller D Cooley during their time here.
The pair became engaged last month after less than a year together.
Despite their trip home, it's not believed the pair will be looking at wedding venues when they're here as Cox is said to want to marry in her native Alabama as her elderly mother cannot travel.
The Snow Patrol rocker popped the question in Turks and Caicos where they were celebrating Courteney's milestone 50th birthday.
The pair are expected to wed in a 'small and intimate' ceremony before the end of the year.
