EXCLUSIVE: Heartbreak for Irish model who wed Turkish superstar in MS scare
Cork model Chloe Loughnan and her Turkish popstar husband have been hit with a Multiple Sclerosis scare.
Chloe wed singer Serdar Ortac just two weeks ago in a lavish ceremony in Turkey’s plush Cesme coastal area.
And yesterday, it was revealed that Ortac is facing an MS scare which forced him to cancel an event.
He is currently being treated by an expert medical team and is set to undergo an MRI scan after experiencing severe muscle pain and headaches, according to Turkish reports.
He was forced to cancel judging a beauty pageant due to the health woes, but will perform again next month.
Ortac is currently undergoing muscle treatment to treat the potential effects of the disease, which affects the central nervous system.
His thousands of fans have rushed to social media to express their solidarity with the pop star.
Chloe has yet to publicly comment on her husband’s health.
“Thank you for your prayers,” he wrote on Twitter.
His 21-year-old wife hit the headlines last week for her shock marriage to the man described as ‘Turkey’s Michael Jackson’.
And he spoke fondly of his beautiful wife, from Youghal, Co Cork.
"Find the love of your life and get married right away,” he said, rather than “waiting 44 years like me”.
Just yesterday, Chloe spoke about her marriage to the singer, saying: ‘Life is perfect’.
Chloe explained that she wasn't looking for love when she made the move to Istanbul and her romance with the then 42-year-old pop sensation, described as the 'Turkish Michael Jackson' took her by surprise.
"In the beginning, I came here for work and I wasn't looking for any kind of relationship. When I first met him (Serdar), he was very similar to me, even though there were cultural differences.
"We really clicked and got along from the beginning, and we started on this amazing journey. It blossomed from there."
