Rose Farquhar sang on the final episode of the blind auditions, as the panel completed their line-ups for the BBC One show.

US artist will.i.am, and British singers Boy George, Ricky Wilson and Paloma Faith now have 12 contestants each.

After singing Anyone Who Had A Heart, a song popularised by Cilla Black, F arquhar told the talent show coaches: "I have sung since I was a little girl, singing really makes me tick."

The 31-year-old, who became involved with William when he left Eton in 2000, is the daughter of Captain Ian Farquhar, master of the Beaufort Hunt, and has known the future king since they were children.

It is not her first experience of TV talent vehicles as Farquhar also appeared on BBC One's 2006 series How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria?

Speaking after Saturday's show, Farquhar said: " I feel completely gutted, but really proud and glad that, you know, I got the opportunity."

Paloma Faith became the first coach to complete her line-up with 17-year-old Faith Nelson from Cardiff.

Kaiser Chiefs singer Ricky Wilson, added 16-year-old Rachel Ann, from Bournemouth, and soldier David Barnes, 37, from London, to his team.

Wilson told Barnes: "You'll be keeping everyone in check."

Boy George's final 12 include Leighton Jones, 41, from Cardiff and self-proclaimed hippie Laura Begley, 22, from Stirling.

Will.i.am was t he last to complete his line-up, adding hair stylist Aaron Hill, 25, from London, and 28-year-old Colleen Gormley, from Derry.

The Black Eyed Peas star told the Irish singer: "I had one singer left on my team and I was holding out for something angelic and here you are, dressed in all-white."

Next week will see the contestants take part in the Battles and in a new twist the spinning chairs, which are normally not used after the blind auditions, will progress to the next stage of the competition.
