The 40-year-old actress has been in the spotlight since the tender age of just 11 months old. But she insists the most important things in life are her family, and she has given up worrying about trying to live up to Hollywood’s idea of perfection.

“I really don’t care about that,” Drew told In Touch Weekly magazine. “I just need to be a mom and get through every day, like most women.”

Drew is mother to two-year-old daughter Olive and one-year-old Frankie with husband Will Kopelman.

And Drew added in the interview that becoming a mother completely changed the way she thinks about the way she looks.

“I was pretty damn confident in my 20s. I wore slips on the red carpet,” she said. Now I’m in muumuus! I was brave because I wasn’t really thinking about anything, just being. Now I’m much more conservative, especially being a mom.”

Drew has had an eventful life, and found herself in rehab when she was just 13. However, she turned things around after getting clean and went on to star in some hugely popular films including Scream, Never Been Kissed and Charlie’s Angels.

She says she has never made apologies for who she is, and continues to be proud of where she has come from.

“I love the very exposed, humorous, imperfect, never-trying-to-pretend to-be-perfect journey that I have been on in my life,” Drew concluded
