Donald Trump's son Eric 'excited' as he announces he's expecting first child with wife Lara
Donald Trump's son Eric has announced he's expecting his first child.
The 33-year-old businessman, who is running the Trump Organisation with older brother Donald Jr since their father's inauguration, said they first discovered the news on Eric's birthday in January.
The couple are expecting a baby boy and Lana, a former tv producer, said she was "exhausted in the beginning" but is now feeling stronger in her second trimester.
"It surprised me, because I’m a very active person, and until the fatigue hit, I didn’t believe it would actually happen to me," she told People.
"It really affected me. But I’m feeling really good now."
The expectant mother said she "always wanted kids" and they are thinking of names for when the baby arrives.
"We really loved the name Charlie, but we’d already named our dog that, so it’s out," Eric added.
Later this year, US President Trump will welcome his ninth grandchild - Donald Jr (39) has five children with wife Vanessa and Ivanka (35) has three children with husband Jared Kushner.
"Eric’s going to be an amazing dad," Lara said.
"The nieces and nephews love hanging with him. He’s the cool uncle. He’s watched Frozen many times.”
Meanwhile, the Trumps are fresh from a trip to the upscale ski town of Aspen, Colorado and "everyone is complaining" as there are "so many of them" - including Ivanka, Donald Jr and Eric as well as their husbands and wives and eight children in addition to an estimated 100 Secret Service agents.
"They’re everywhere. There are so many of them. Everyone is complaining. Everyone is annoyed," a visiting New York mother told Vanity Fair.
