The Lithuanian-born beauty shot to fame when she dated The Script frontman Danny O'Donoghue.

The couple were seeing each other for four years before they split in 2013.

Irma, who is also an actress and has appeared in shows like Game of Thrones, has remained tight-lipped about their split simply saying she "knows the truth".

While she has since been coy about her private life, Irma told the Diary she is seeing someone new.

"I have a boyfriend, he's lovely but I don't want to say too much about it as it's very new," she said.

"I don't really like to talk about my love life."

While she's attached now, Irma said she doesn't find it hard to date given her public profile.

The 30-year-old got her acting break with a role in the last season of Game of Thrones and will next appear in a horror film called Thin Air opposite Amy-Joyce Hastings and Caroline Grace Cassidy.

"I'm still auditioning all the time, acting is what I want to pursue but I'll stay modelling as well," she said.

"Game of Thrones was a brilliant experience, it was such a thrill to work on such a big set."

While she loves her varied career, Irma doesn't think her 12-year-old daughter Nikoleta will follow in her footsteps.

"She's a dancer so I don't think she'll become a model," she said.

"She's really good at contemporary dance and she does gymnastics as well - I'm so proud of her.

"I always tell her she can do anything she wants in life," she added.

Modelling isn't the most stable job and Irma admits it can be tough to balance being a working parent.

"It is hard but I'm really lucky because I have my mam and my family with me. They all live here so we're really supportive of each other," she said.

"If I didn't have them I don't know what I'd do.

"In this job you can't really plan anything because you're told about jobs at short notice.

"With a child you need to plan so I'm just lucky I have my family," she added.

Irma was speaking ahead of her trip to Zambia with Irish charity Zamda.

The 1st Option model will join Madeline Mulqueen, Teodora Sutra and Diana Bunici on the 10-day trip later this month.
