Daisy Lowe: Don't call me an 'It Girl' - I work really hard
Daisy Lowe doesn't want to be known as an It Girl.
The British model is a firm fixture on the London night life scene, and while she doesn't tend to drink very much, Daisy is often spotted at showbiz parties and hot spots with the likes of Florence Welch, Alexa Chung and Pixie Geldof.
While some people have made whole careers out of being famous for nothing, Daisy says that is not a path she'd ever take.
"[I want to be known as a model.] It's just... the idea of an It Girl. Either it can be seen in a Parisian way, which is very complimentary, like a Jane Birkin or a Brigitte Bardot, or it can be seen in a very British way, which is, 'You don't work hard for your money - you just get paid to go to parties.' I work really hard," Daisy sighed to the British edition of InStyle.
For Daisy, going out is a job requirement. While she has attended bashes like the Brit Awards, she can normally been seen at fashion events.
Last month she stunned in a floral dress for the Coach x Harpers Bazaar Brunch and looked vampy in black at Christopher Kane's March opening of his London flagship store.
As well as walking the runway the 26-year-old has previously turned her hand to designing. She created a small capsule collection for Morgan in Paris and hopes there's more design work in her future.
"But then Brand Daisy... I also really like creating things. I'd love to design stuff again. I'd like to make clothes for women with curves, and also clothes that I want to wear, which people just don't make. I do find shopping really frustrating sometimes," she revealed.
