Cube: Hart's rocketing demands

Ice Cube and Kevin Hart star in Ride Along

Kevin Hart has got more demanding for the Ride Along sequel, Ice Cube has teased.

Both stars have already signed on for another instalment of the cop comedy, alongside director Tim Story and producer Will Packer, following the success of the first film in America.

Cube, who plays detective James Payton, joked: "You know how much he charges now? For the first Ride Along, he called us back. Second Ride Along, no call back. Then we finally get a call from his lawyer. He's big-time Kevin Hart now."

"(He's asking for) bigger trailer, more money, more explosions, he wants his shirt off, you know what I mean? He wants a sex scene. We can't do a sex scene - we're PG-13," he added.

Kevin said: "I said I need a sex scene and I need to walk through fire. Those are my only requests."

The comedian, who will reprise his role as wannabe cop Ben Barber, admitted he would also like to do more stunts in the sequel. He said: " Cube gets to do all the cool stuff. He gets to punch people and shoot through glass. I run the whole time, screaming, so hopefully if this keeps going, I can do something - maybe I could slide over the hood of the car one time."

Ice added: "We're going to do it but we're gonna put it on the cutting room floor. He don't know it yet."

The pair revealed more Ride Along films had always been on the cards.

Kevin said: "We can't do this movie with anybody else. We talked about it so much while we were doing part one. We kept saying that we might have something special, we might have a franchise. The fact is, within this franchise, it can get big, it can get colossal."

Director Tim added: "We're really excited. Everybody's back and we can't wait to get started. We have a great idea. We're going to blow up everything, even Cube and Kevin! Then they come back for part three. It's going to be awesome."
