UFC champion Conor McGregor has earned himself fourth place in GQ's list of the best-dressed men of 2017.

The Notorious is known for his love of designer clobber, and it appears that his time spent working on his fashion sense hasn't gone to waste.

"The shy and retiring UFC champion Conor McGregor isn’t known for being understated, either in what he says, or how he says it," reads the site's comment about the Dubliner, who placed sixth last year.

"But when it comes to his personal style, the Notorious one doesn’t need to make a big noise for everyone to stand up and take notice."

"Smart guy, smart dresser and a smart arse, to boot."

It appears that Irish men are making a name for themselves on the style scene, with Kerry native Michael Fassbender placing 19th.

"Michael Fassbender is always dressed immaculately for the red carpet and has a great eye for tailoring. The fit of his suits is spot-on and his style is timeless. I think the fact he doesn't have a stylist speaks volumes, and shows he's genuinely into the clothes he wears," praises the site.

The second Dubliner on the list, Poldark star Aidan Turner takes 22nd, while Dermot O'Leary, whose parents are from Wexford, came in 37th place out of 50.

Rap artist Drake topped the list thanks to his "unique look," and was followed by Eddie Redmayne in second and Luke Evans placed third.
