The pair appeared to be enjoying themselves ahead of McGregor’s fight next Saturday, in which he will face Nate Diaz.

Speaking in the latest issue of Sports Illustrated, the Walkinstown fighter revealed that trash talk is an ‘American’ skill that he’s had to learn but admitted that he always keeps his word.

“Trash talking is an American term and I don’t really understand it.

“If I tell you I’m going to crack you with a clean shot to the chin inside one minute of the first round and knock you unconscious, then that’s what will happen.

“I always put myself out there, I’m not afraid to commit to something.

“The more you seek the uncomfortable, the more you will become comfortable.”

Speaking to the publication McGregor revealed that he is fiercely protective and proud of his Irish roots.

“(I want to) take all the belts, take all the money then ride back to beautiful Dublin, Ireland into the sunset...

“I f*cking love this place. I’ll never leave this place ever in my life. This is my home. I go to the US for that sweet cheque and then I high-tail it back here to be with my own people.”

The World Champion has previously revealed that Dee is one of the driving forces behind his success and she stood by him during the years he was struggling.

"My girlfriend has been there since the start.

"She has helped me throughout this career.

"If it wasn't for her, I probably wouldn't be where I am today,” he said.
