Chrissy Teigen hits back at critics for going on a dinner date with her husband days after giving birth
New mother Chrissy Teigen has hit back at fans who criticised her for going out to dinner with her husband days after giving birth.
Chrissy and musician husband John Legend welcomed their first child together on April 14, a daughter called Luna.
Since the birth of their baby girl, the couple have had to deal with a lot of unsolicited parenting advice and criticism on social media.
On Saturday evening, the pair were photographed out to dinner at The Nice Guy restaurant in LA, without their newborn and Teigen was dragged through the mud for choosing to spend quality time with her husband.
One person wrote: “Maybe it’s just rich people… I don’t think I let anyone watch my child without me til a month or two. I just wanted to hold and stare and my children when they were born [sic].”
Another said: “She needs to stop all this attention seeking and John needs to make some damn music and stop being a socialite husband.”
While another ranted, "The spotlight pull be strong. One week. Who wants to leave a one week old baby to go to a bar?”
Teigen called the comments passive-aggressive.
The former model woke up to all the comments on Sunday and took to Twitter to shoot back. She wrote: "I went to dinner. People are pissed. Good morning!"
When one person asked how the baby is doing, Teigen sassily replied, “I dunno I can’t find her.”
Responding to another's tweet, the new mum said, "'i never wanted to leave my daughter, i love her, BUT THAT'S JUST ME' - the passive aggressiveness is real!"
This isn't the first time the 30-year-old has come under fire on social media for some of her parenting choices. In February, the cookbook author had to defend her choice to conceive using IVF and selecting the sex of her baby. She used her responses to educate her followers about the process of artificial insemination.
Then, in October 2015, Teigen had to defend herself to fans who were criticial of the dietary choices she made during her pregnancy. The TV host shared a photo on Instagram of her "nightly cravings", a bowl of Fruity Pebbles and Cap’N Crunch cereal mixed and fans complained that the processed food was bad for the baby.
"If you wanna give me unsolicited baby advice on the damn cereal I eat/what I wear u better unlock your profile so I can see your perfection," she wrote on Twitter.
"Yes I am living off dyed food. tuna too!! Gonna try to dye my tuna actually. Then have an icy, dyed vodka soda and that's just lunch," she continued, making light of her haters in signature fashion.
