Piers Morgan didn’t know who he was dealing with when he posted an insensitive tweet about Muhammed Ali’s death.

Tweeting about the boxing legend's death, the TV presenter caused a storm by saying: "Muhammad Ali said far more inflammatory/racist things about white people than Donald Trump ever has about Muslims."

Super couple Chrissy Teigen and John Legend didn’t hesitate responding to the controversial journalist and despite several efforts to make a comeback, Morgan was shut down by the pair.

When Morgan followed up his earlier tweet by saying: I hope people don't make me sound too perfect when I die and Grammy-winning singer Legend took aim at him by tweeting: "You could test us by announcing your retirement."

His wife Teigen was quick to join in and followed Legend's comments by suggesting that Morgan was behaving like a troll by commenting: "From what? trolling isn't a job (I've tried)".

While Morgan responded by insulting Teigen’s job, the super model used the quip to get one up on the former Britain’s Got Talent Judge.

Morgan suggested Teigen and Legend read his article on Muhammed Ali and racism, as the Lip Sync Battle host posted a series of tweets about the spat and insulting words were exchanged.

Morgan recently got into hot water for his comments about Beyonce’s latest album in his column and on Twitter, naming her “the born-black-again woman with a political mission.”
