The Roscommon-born actor revealed the news as part of his Ice Bucket Challenge video online.

“Thought we’d better mention it, before I got O’Busted!,” Dawn joked.

The couple married in August 2012 after they met at her 30th birthday party.

Dawn (35) has previously spoken out about her annoyance at being asked ‘the baby question’ in press interviews for her work.

“I think it’s a really natural question to ask and I totally understand why people do,” she said.

“But I get slightly shirty because Chris could do seven interviews on the trot and not get asked once about me or if we’re going to have kids.”

Dawn, who added the ‘O’ to her surname when she married O’Dowd, has recently added vintage fashion to her expertise.

Her Channel 4 TV series, ‘This Old Thing’, takes on a ‘vintage virgin’ each week and shows them how to make the most of hand-me-downs clothes,.

"My challenge is to just say to these people, look, you hate the idea of vintage because you think someone died in it, you think it all smells and it all looks disgusting," O'Porter said of her show.
