Two Tube presenter Blathnaid Treacy may be helping cover Electric Picnic for RTE Two next weekend - but she'll be ditching her normal creature comforts and going back to basics by camping for the weekend.
"I normally do camp but because I'm working, I'm going to have a caravan. But it's not all to myself - there will be about six of us in there sharing it," she said.
"It's not even glamping as it's just a basic caravan so I'd say it will be pretty gross by the end of the weekend with all us in it.
" TwoTube comes back on September 1, the day after the Picnic so I'm not sure if I'll have any voice left"
And the 26-year-old will be mixing business with pleasures at the sold-out Stradbally event, which starts this Friday and brings together a horde of big-name acts.
She has revealed how her jazz musician boyfriend Charlie Mooney, formerly of Wicklow band Croupier, will be performing at the event.
Blathnaid will also be keeping a keen eye out for Scottish crooner Paolo Nutini who's top of her wish-list of interviewees, describing him as "totally handsome" and a huge talent.
"I love his music and one of his albums I listened to non-stop when I was travelling. I saw him performing before on Arthur's Day years ago.
"It was before I worked in TV and it was hilarious as myself and my friend blagged our way into the gig. We heard he might be playing and sure enough, there he was. I actually managed to touch him" she continued.
She has now been enlisted as a roving reporter for the Picnic as she reports back on all the gossip backstage.
"It's going to be pretty full as part of the show will be live. I'll be grabbing all the bands and whoever else I can. I cannot wait. I love Electric Picnic, it's literally where my year begins and ends," she continued.
Ambitious Blathnaid, a former child star playing Biddy and Miley's daughter Denise on Glenroe, has spent the past few months working on Spin 103 after TwoTube broke for the summer.
And she said she definitely hopes to return for another slot on the popular programme.
"I'll probably be back in a couple of months time, covering for the weekends."
