The X Factor judge’s restaurateur husband Jean Bernard posted a quote to his Instagram page yesterday, which said: “When writing the story of your life, don’t let anyone else hold the pen. I’m sorry if you don’t like my honesty but to be fair I don’t like your lies.”

The defensive post comes days after reports surfaced that the pair are having relationship issues.

A source told The Mirror: “A lot of us thought she might move towards taking some sort of break earlier this year but she decided to give their relationship another go.

Cheryl (32) wed Jean-Bernard following a three month courtship in 2013, but sources say their union is not going as smoothly as they hoped.

It’s been months since the celebrity pair were spotted together and were last pictured at Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly’s 40th birthday party in October.

Meanwhile, Cheryl has recently spoken out against critics who have commented on her weight throughout the recent series of X Factor.

The X Factor judge (32) has lost a significant amount of weight in recent months, prompting fans to rally around her and comment on her appearance.

Fernandez-Versini covers the current issue of In Style and slammed the "crazy double standards" with reporting on body types.

"It's crazy double standards. You'd never be allowed to say to somebody, "Oh, you look a bit fat." And being overweight is unhealthy – it's actually a bad message to tell someone who is obese that they look "curvy" or "great",' she told the magazine.
