Cheryl Cole misses the mark with severe style at Cannes
Cheryl’s sartorial highs go hand in hand with red carpet disaster; the singer’s latest outfit at an exclusive Cannes bash is a disaster.
The pint sized Geordie joined a stellar guest list for the De Grisogono Fatale In Cannes dinner party at Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc.
Cheryl (30) showed off her decolletage in a black feathered gown from Stéphane Rolland’s Fall 2012 Couture collection.
A questionable move by her stylist as the singer’s delicate frame is evidently far too petite for this architectural gown.
Cheryl appears gaunt and swamped by the complex tailoring of the dress. Matters are not helped by the oversized De Grisogono choker and a severe ponytail.
In 2011 and 2012, Cheryl turned to Stéphane Rolland in a bid to make an impact on the red carpet at the International Film Festival.
Stéphane Rolland is a French couturier who learned his trade at the Balenciaga house from the age of 20.
The plunge neck white sheath with golden pears and the dip dyed red feather creation are two of the most memorable dresses in recent years.
Cheryl’s figure is a dream to work with and should this dress have had a higher sweetheart or strapless neckline, it would have been a dramatically different outfit.
