Bruce Jenner wants to be referred to by a new name, it has been revealed.
The 65-year-old Olympian will introduce himself as a female on the April 24th special sit-down interview with legendary journalist Diane Sawyer.
The programme has been lauded as a "farewell to Bruce", according to TMZ. It will not focus on his appearance, but rather his journey.
He reportedly did not confirm his new name on the programme and his appearance remained largely the same.
Bruce is said to address his difficulties with feeling like a woman, but never living like one.
It's also believed that his breast surgery was recorded for a new docu-series, a spin-off of Keeping Up With The Kardashians focusing on his transition into a woman.
“Cameras were there during Bruce’s breast implant surgery. The days leading up to the surgery were very emotional for him, and there was talk about canceling the surgery,” a source told Radar Online.
“He was very nervous and was having last-minute doubts about making such a drastic alteration to his physical appearance. Filming took place for a few minutes during the surgery, and immediately picked up in the recovery room after it was over.”
