Brad Pitt reportedly hasn't seen his oldest son Maddox since divorce proceedings with Angelina Jolie began.

The Oscar-winning actress (41) filed for divorce from the star last month after 12 years together amid claims she filed due to a mid-air incident involving the 15-year-old and his father.

It's reported that the actor was "intoxicated" and "urinated on tarmac" afterwards the incident, which sources described as a "parent-child argument" which "escalated" when one of their children stepped in.

However, the source said Pitt (52) was adamant “it did not reach the level of physical abuse, that no one was physically harmed”.

The couple's six children are currently living with Jolie, who was granted temporary full physical custody, and he has seen their children twice.

Maddox was not present on either occasion, according to People.

A therapist was present for the first visit, but it's unclear if the second one was also supervised.

As part of the deal, both stars will undergo individual counselling, in addition to family sessions with their children, while the Inglourious Basterds actor will also submit to random drug and alcohol tests. He recently volunteered for a similar test, which reportedly came back negative for both substances.

Pitt and Jolie, once Hollywood's biggest power couple, have not had any contact with one another in recent weeks and all visitations are "being worked out via their teams".

Under California law, it's particularly difficult to obtain sole custody of children unless it can be proven that one parent is a psychical danger and the Changeling star has reportedly been writing down any instances where he consumed alcohol or smoked marijuana, which he has always been open about.

A story in Us Weekly echoes the reports, saying Jolie is masterminding a "smear campaign" against her estranged husband.

"Angie says she is going to destroy him," a source says.
