Bono and Chris Brown have struck up an unlikely bromance after being spotted out together in Monaco over the weekend.

The U2 frontman (54) posed for a picture with the rapper (25) while on holiday in the French Riviera.

The odd picture features a group of Chris’ friends as well as the Princess of Monaco, who has her arm around Bono.

The Yeah 3x singer posted the picture on Instagram yesterday with the caption, “Bono Asher Monroe Diana Jenkins @starino, the princess of Monaco ! Great nights in Monaco.”

Princess Charlene of Monaco’s Irish ancestry was revealed earlier this week.

New research traced the 36-year-olds ancestors back to the 1520’s and to a prominent Dublin family called the Fagans.

On Tuesday, she was presented with a Certificate of Irish Heritage by Rory Montgomery, Irish Ambassador to France, in the Prince’s Palace in Monaco.

The certificate is an official recognition by the Irish Government of those who are proud of their Irish ancestry and heritage and has also been presented to actor Tom Cruise, comedian Jimmy Carr and former US President Bill Clinton in recent years.

Chris’s friend Leon Starino (27) also shared the photo, saying “Bono told me we’re the line where good and evil meet..”

Perhaps peacemaker Bono was the inspiration behind Chris’s heartfelt message that he later posted on Instagram.

The rapper, who is best known for beating up his ex-girlfriend Rihanna and spent a spell in jail earlier this year, posted the message along with a picture of him in his jail uniform.

“I been through a lot in my life. Made a lot of mistakes along the way. But through it all I've always been true to myself and through God I've been able to take care of my family!

“I should regret some things but I think the lessons learned will shape me into a real man

“I'm grateful and appreciative!Thank you for life!” he said.
