Bella Cruise insists she still speaks to parents Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise despite neither of them attending her wedding
Bella Cruise has slammed reports she doesn't talk to her parents, Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise.
Allegations of an estrangement between Bella and her adoptive mother and father began when neither Nicole nor Tom attended her wedding to boyfriend Max Parker in September 2015.
However, Bella, who Nicole and Tom became parents to in 1992 before adopting their son Connor three years later, insists the rumours are entirely untrue.
"Of course we talk, they’re my parents," Bella insisted to Australia's New Idea magazine.
The 23-year-old, a practising Scientologist just like her father, now lives in London, England, with her husband. Despite still being in the first flush of marriage, Bella reveals she and Max are in no rush to start a family.
"I’m 23, so we’ll see…I’m still a baby myself," she said.
Oscar-winner Nicole, 48, recently opened up about her relationship with her older children. She also has girls Sunday Rose, seven, and five-year-old Faith Margaret, with her husband Keith Urban and admits it's sometimes a struggle to keep in touch with Isabella and Connor.
"I have four children, so to stay in touch with them is very important," she told elle.au. "I'm definitely engaged in it (texting) but I don't let it rule my life."
Meanwhile, Tom also opened up about his love for his children in a previous interview. The 53-year-old is also father to nine-year-old Suri with ex-wife Katie Holmes and said that while he relishes the idea of his brood entering the entertainment industry, he won’t push them to pursue any particular professional path.
"All my kids (can be actors)," he told E! News. "What I do is try to find out what they're interested in and support them in that. There's no pressure. I'm lucky. I love what I do. I think with them, it's just find out what you want to do and support it."
