Aunt Caroline catches up

Caroline Morahan was thoroughly enjoying being on "auntie duties" when I met her mid-week at the Littlewoods Autumn Winter 2014 press show in the Georgian Rooms in Dublin's South William Street.
The TV presenter-actress is back home on holidays from Los Angeles for a few weeks and was beaming as she told me: "I've just spent the last hour-and-a-half in a field watching egg-and-spoon races at a school sports day."
The apples of her eye are her sister Olivia's three children, Ella, Amelie and Lochlann, aged 10 to five.
"Ella is 10 this weekend, there's a birthday party and I'm on nails and hair duties," smiled Caroline.
The face of Littlewoods Ireland, Caroline was dressed in a Coleen Rooney outfit, but she confessed there isn't always the opportunity to dress up in Tinseltown.
"Anything goes there – no one is going to do a double take. It is much more dressed down and I felt like I lost some of my fashion mojo there because there were no opportunities to dress up and wear heels.
"Most of the time now I wear a simple dress and flip-flops.
"This is a huge treat for me to be home for a few weeks. Normally the suitcase stays at the bottom of the bed and never gets unpacked," said Caroline who ran the Mini- Marathon last weekend for MS Ireland and completing the course with her was actress friend Aoibhinn McGinnity from Love/Hate.
Caroline will certainly be putting on the glitz for midsummer's day and will be the Littlewoods style judge at Gowran Park Racecourse on June 21 – the first of seven Best Dressed competitions being held around the country this summer.
