AP McCoy hits the beach in Barbados for romantic holiday with wife Chanelle
Former jockey AP McCoy is making the most of retirement with wife Chanelle with a Caribbean holiday.
The legendary jockey and his wife of 10 years jetted to Barbados earlier this week for a sun-soaked trip and looked more loved-up than ever. The couple walked arm in arm on the beach at Sandy Lane hotel, where Irish golfer Rory McIlroy is also enjoying a break with his fiancée Erica Stoll.
Tony (41) and Chanelle (39) fly out to the celebrity hotspot at least once a year, co-owned by JP McManus and Andrea Corr's father-in-law Dermot Desmond.
have enjoyed a 20-year romance and said her husband "grew on her" over time and she accepted early on that his needs would be the focal point of their relationship.
"I thought he was funny and a nice guy, but the chemistry wasn’t there,’ she said. ‘He was a grower. A girl can’t grow on a guy – he either likes you or he doesn’t – but a guy can grow on a girl," she told the Daily Mail's You Magazine.
"The truth is he can be stubborn, selfish and totally self-absorbed and for as long as he was riding, it was never going to be as much about me as it was about him."
They have two children together Archie (11 months) and Eve (nine).
