Angelina Jolie behind 'smear campaign' against Brad Pitt
Angelina Jolie is reportedly prepared to do "whatever it takes" to obtain sole custody of her six children with Brad Pitt.
The Oscar-winning actress filed for divorce last Monday and while insiders say her partner of 12 years was "blindsided" by the move, it's reported that Jolie won't be holding back as their battle continues in the court of public opinion.
The pair have six children together - Maddox (15), Pax (12), Zahara (11), Shiloh (10) and Knox and Vivienne (eight) and they are currently living with their mother in a rented home in Los Angeles.
"She's not afraid to protect herself and her family and she'll do whatever it takes to get custody of her children," a source told heat magazine.
"Those children are Ange's entire world and she's adamant about pursuing full custody."
Jolie's motive behind filing was reportedly an altercation which took place earlier this month between Pitt and Maddox on their private plane.
It's now reported that the actor was "intoxicated" and "urinated on tarmac" afterwards.
A source reportedly with knowledge of the situation said there was an argument between the actor and Jolie which resulted in a “parent-child argument” when one of their children stepped in, which then “escalated”.

However, the source said Pitt was adamant “it did not reach the level of physical abuse, that no one was physically harmed”.
“He did not hit his child in the face in any way. He did not do that; he is emphatic about that. He put his hands on him, yes, because the confrontation was nose to nose and was spiralling out of control.”
Under California law, it's particularly difficult to obtain sole custody of children unless it can be proven that one parent is a psychical danger and the Changeling star has reportedly been writing down any instances where he consumed alcohol or smoked marijuana, which he has always been open about.
A story in Us Weekly echoes the reports, saying Jolie is masterminding a "smear campaign" against her estranged husband.
"Angie says she is going to destroy him," a source says.
Meanwhile, those in their inner circle are saying the split didn't come as a surprise as they were spending more and more time apart.
"They agreed to meet on their anniversary in LA, they both had to be there for work commitments anyway," a source told heat.
"They chose the Beverly Hills Hotel because it's just around the corner from their house, not because it's especially romantic."
She is said to have filed the papers immediately after the meet-up as they couldn't work out their differences.

On Tuesday night, Brad issued a statement - only his second since the divorce news broke - saying he would be avoiding all promotion for his upcoming film Voyage of Time so as not to distract from the "extraordinary" film.
"I'm very grateful to be part of such a fascinating and educational project, but I'm currently focused on my family situation and don't want to distract attention away from this extraordinary film, which I encourage everyone to see," he said.
Jolie has yet to issue an official statement since confirming she had filed for divorce last Monday.
