Caroline Morahan’s risky LA relocation is starting to pay off and the darkhaired beauty has managed to nab herself an A-List friend in the legendary Sharon Stone.
The former Off the Rails host landed a movie role
And Caroline has revealed that she and Sharon have remained pals, even after filming wrapped.
“We have stayed in touch, she is quite an extraordinary woman,” Caroline said.
The 36-year-old jetted home recently to fulfil her duties as the face of Littlewoods Ireland, and she gushed about her respect for the Basic Instinct actress.
“She’s always been a heroine of mine because she got successful later in life, compared to your average tweeny star,” Caroline said.
The pair bonded over Ireland as it turns out the screen legend has Irish ancestry and she is very proud of her roots.
And Caroline dismissed suggestions that the actress looks a little too good for her age.
“I don’t think she has work done, she really hasn’t, looking at her you can see signs of ageing but she’s graceful,” she said. “I don’t like the tunnel swept faces of some actors.
“She eats incredibly well and she barely drinks so she really looks after herself,” she said in an interview with RSVP magazine.
Caroline met her idol on the set of the light hearted romcom, which is due for release in the US in February next year.
The Drogheda beauty plays a TV host in the movie, a role that the former RTÉ presenter should be very comfortable with. Caroline
hosted the Podge and Rodge show for a number of years. She has been very open about her struggles to find her feet in Hollywood after moving out there in 2009, but is adamant to follow her dreams of silver screen stardom.
And as her star is on the rise, Caroline has put off planning a family with her husband Daithi O Caoimh, who she wed in Tuscany in 2012. He quit his finance job here to follow her to LA.
“It [having children] is so not on my radar right now,” Caroline said.
“You can’t really look into the future, and I’ve never been able to look into the future like that.”
